Acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplasia.  Also, normal and abnormal hematopoiesis; currently, in collaboration with the laboratory of Dr. G. Studzinski in the Department of Pathology, NJMS, Rutgers, examining the role of the cyclin regulator p35Nck5a and the Cdk5 & MAP Kinase pathways in myeloid leukemia response to Vitamin D analog treatment (co-investigator for NIH grant RO1 CA44722-25).  Additional research interests in clinical trials in Hematologic and Solid Tumor Malignancies and investigational treatment of Hematologic disorders, and in new therapies and clinical aspects of the Sickling Hemoglobinopathies.
