I direct the University of CT Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service which is one of 67 such Centers across the U.S. I also direct the CT Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and other Disabilities and the Doctoral Consortium in Early Childhood Intervention.

Reasearch and education about enhancing the qualtiy of life for those with disabilities and their families  Inclusion of children with special needs in early childhood and school settings. Dr. Bruder has been a co-investigator with Center on Aging faculty on various studies involving complementary and alternative medicine concerning the health care needs of older adults with developmental disabilities
