I see patients for general infectious diseases consultations, HIV/AIDS management, international and immunization consultations, and Tropical Medicine concerns. I oversee programs that support HIV/AIDS care and treatment at the UConn Health Center's HIV clinic. In addition to treating patients in Connecticut, I provide direct patient care / Tropical Medicine care in Kisoro District, southwestern Uganda, where I work at a rural hospital and serve as the medical director for a US-supported Level 3 Health Center.
I teach and coordinate multiple Infectious Diseases and microbiology-related curricula at the UConn School of Medicine, including Fabrics of Laboratory (FabLab), Case-Oriented Essentials (COrE), and Ambulatory Medicine. I teach methods in community-based research through the Scholarship course and mentor student and resident research intiatives. I direct Global-Health related learning for the School of Medicine and associated residency/fellowship programs, including the Global Health Internal Medicine residency track and on-site immersive/experiential work in Uganda.

My research has focused on interventions addressing HIV/AIDS social drivers of health and medication adherence, respiratory infections including Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Tropical and international medicine including HIV, syphilis, maternal heatlh outcomes, brucellosis, rheumatic heart disease, and malaria.
Research opportunities may exist through partnering with internatioal collaborators and partner institutions in LMICs, evaluation of RSV outcomes, social drivers of HIV outcomes in the USA and international settings, syphilis in the global health context, among others.
