I see patients for general infectious diseases consultations, HIV/AIDS management, and international and immunization consultations. I oversee several grants that support HIV/AIDS care and treatment at the UConn Health Center's HIV clinic.
I teach and coordinate the UConn School of Medicine's Mechanisms of Diseases/Infectious Diseases/Medical Microbiology (MOD-ID) course. I teach in the Multidisciplinary Ambulatory Experience Didactics in Infectious Diseases, Human Health and Development course, and varied courses at the UConn Dental Schools, MPH program, and Pharmacy Schools. I am the Infectious Diseases Fellowship director, and also participate in the ongoing clinical education of students, residents, and fellows. I teach curricula for global health including experiencial/medical immersion in rural Ugandan health systems. I am a member of the New England AIDS Education and Training Center and provide HIV-related clinical education to a variety of HIV providers.
