Dr. Godshall is a UConn School of Medicine alumna who completed both Internal Medicine residency training and Infectious Diseases fellowship training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She returned to UConn to practice general Infectious Disease with a focus on HIV treatment and prevention efforts.

Dr. Godshall has an interest in expanding HIV prevention efforts, primarily through increasing the uptake and prescribing of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) medications for all patients at risk for HIV infection. She established the UConn Health Outpatient PrEP Program for this purpose, hiring a PrEP Navigator and securing grant funding to expand these efforts. 

Dr. Godshall serves in many academic positions within the UConn School of Medicine and enjoys teaching. She is a pre-clinical education course director and preceptor in several clinical and class-based teaching settings.
