Dr. Harshiv Karia is a Prosthodontist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at UConn Health. Originally from the United Kingdom, he earned his dental degree from Queen Mary University of London before being awarded the prestigious Thouron Award, which supported his move to the U.S. for specialty training. He completed his residency in Prosthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Karia provides clinical and didactic instruction to dental students and residents across the full spectrum of fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics. His primary area of interest is the clinical integration of end-to-end digital workflows, with a research interest in developing and validating emerging hardware and software protocols in digital dentistry. Having trained in diverse clinical environments across the U.K., the U.S., and Sweden’s Karolinska Institutet, he brings a global, evidence-based perspective to his patient care and regularly shares his work through national and international presentations.
