Dr. Seema Kurup is a board-certified Orofacial Pain (OFP) and Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) specialist and a Fellow of American Academy of Oral Medicine. Dr. Kurup leads the academic & clinical curricula for OFP & TMD for Pre-doctoral students and residents at the dental school and is also the Course Director for Oral Medicine & Oral Pathology course for Dental Hygienists.

Under the University Dentist Faculty Practice, Dr.Kurup specializes in treating patients with chronic TMD, facial pain, neuropathic pain, headaches, burning mouth syndrome, and pain from other intra-oral and maxillofacial conditions. In addition, Dr.Kurup provides oral appliance therapy for patients with Obstuctive Sleep Apnea.

Dr. Kurup's research interests focus on pain conditions such as TMD, oral mucosal conditions and clinical translational research for pain management.
