Dr. Anthony Parrino is a fellowship-trained hand, wrist, and elbow surgeon and assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the UConn Musculoskeletal Institute at UConn Health. He completed his medical training at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and orthopedic training at the UConn School of Medicine. Dr. Parrino then completed his hand and upper extremity fellowship at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, under the leadership of Dr. John Elfar.
Dr. Parrino’s clinical practice focuses on the treatment of all hand, wrist, and elbow problems. His particular interests include arthritis of the hand and wrist, hand/wrist/elbow fractures, sports-related injuries, tendonitis, nerve and tendon injuries, and nerve compression problems. He also performs endoscopic carpal tunnel release and wide awake hand surgery. He is also active in research dedicated to enhancing the knowledge of hand and wrist pathology. His goal is to provide personalized, quality care to find surgical and nonsurgical solutions for hand, wrist, and elbow problems.
