Dr. Hardeep Singh is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at UConn Health and a fellowship-trained spine surgeon specializing in minimally invasive, complex degenerative, revision, and deformity spine surgery. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Connecticut, followed by a spine surgery fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Singh’s clinical practice focuses on cervical and lumbar degenerative pathology, adult spinal deformity, revision spine surgery, and advanced lateral and anterior interbody fusion techniques, including transpsoas and prone single-position approaches. He has a particular interest in the integration of enabling technologies, such as augmented reality, navigation, and advanced biologics, to improve surgical accuracy and patient outcomes.
Academically, Dr. Singh is an active clinical and translational researcher with extensive peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international meetings. He serves on multiple editorial boards and spine society committees, including AO Spine, the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, and the Cervical Spine Research Society. He is the recipient of several competitive research grants and national honors.
Within the Spine Fellowship, Dr. Singh is deeply committed to surgical education and mentorship, emphasizing graduated autonomy, thoughtful case selection, evidence-based decision-making, and technical excellence. He works closely with fellows in both the operating room and the research environment to foster the development of well-rounded academic and clinical spine surgeons.
